About this site

Some people call them Christmas cribs or nativity scenes. In Spain they are called belén and presepe in Italy. The Germans call them Krippen, the French crèche and the Maltese presepju. Whatever you call them, in this site you will find some examples of this popular art form created by Julian Scicluna.

You are welcome to browse the Gallery of Works and to leave your comments or questions by using the Contact Page. For information about owning a crib go to the Order a Crib page.

About Julian Scicluna

Julian's interest in crib making goes back to well over forty five years. He has experimented with various materials like papier-mâché, cork, extruded polystyrene, plaster and various combinations. As regards crib figurines he prefers to use those of Martino Landi (Italy), Jose Luis Mayo (Spain), Lilia Bryl (Naples, Italy), Raffaele De Angelis (Italy) and at times, he models his own figurines out of polymer clay.
