Each year Julian accepts a limited number of orders for cribs. Some of the works shown in this site have been specifically ordered in this manner. These clients then enjoy and treasure the crib for many years. Note that these works are not a typical 'home made' cribs, the type done over a weekend and then discarded after Christmas. These cribs take months of work, experimentation, dedication and passion. Also, the method and materials used evolve and mature over time.
How does it work?
The client usually provides the approximate size and if already owned, the figurines. If need be, Julian can assist and procure the figurines. Any personal preferences are also indicated. Then Julian applies his creativity to provide a unique artistic work which is delivered in the first days of December.
How much does it cost?
A crib which includes lights, accessories etc. costs between €200 and €500. Italian crib figurines cost between €60 and €300 depending on size and number of pieces.
Where should I best place the crib?
This depends to your liking, but remember that:
• You will need to plug it in an electrical socket up to 3 metres away
• Not on a very low table as you cannot view it in comfort
• Not in a bright sunlit place; the crib lighting is best enjoyed in a dim environment
